The heartbeat of youth rugby in Rwanda is alive this season with the 1000 Hills Rugby Summer Camp 2025 a unique program that goes far beyond the game. From intense rugby training sessions to cultural dance classes and a festive grand finale, this summer camp is more than just an event; it is a platform to empower young people, nurture talent, and bring communities together.

A Journey Beyond Rugby

Launched on 20th August 2025, the Summer Camp has quickly gained momentum, attracting boys and girls who are eager to learn, play, and grow. With the slogan “Stronger, United, and Full of Life Lessons,” the camp is not just about building athletic skills, but also about shaping character, promoting cultural pride, and strengthening friendships across communities.

Rugby Training Strength, Discipline, and Teamwork

At the core of the camp is rugby training, designed to instill discipline, confidence, and teamwork in young athletes. The sessions are led by experienced coaches who combine professional techniques with mentorship, ensuring participants learn the fundamentals while also enjoying the spirit of the game.
• Wednesdays & Fridays: 3:00 4:30 PM
• Saturdays: 1:00 2:30 PM
Each training day focuses on skill development from passing, tackling, and game strategies, to endurance, agility, and mental resilience. For many participants, this is not just about playing rugby; it’s about developing life skills that extend beyond the field.

Dance Classes Tradition Meets Global Culture

Sport meets culture through the vibrant dance classes offered at the camp. After each rugby session, participants dive into the world of music and movement, exploring both traditional Rwandan rhythms and the energetic flair of Latino dance styles.
This combination of tradition and global influence creates an enriching cultural exchange, allowing the youth to appreciate their roots while embracing diversity. These classes foster creativity, unity, and self-expression, making the camp a holistic experience for every participant.

The Grand Finale September 6th, 2025

The highlight of the Summer Camp will be the Grand Finale on 6th September 2025 a day packed with excitement, competition, and celebration. Families, friends, and supporters will gather to witness the progress of the young athletes and dancers.
The finale will feature:
• U18 7s Rugby Tournament – A thrilling display of speed, skill, and teamwork.

• U15 Tag Rugby Matches – Showcasing the energy and determination of the next
